FAQ

Secular Education that Welcomes All

Moth Learning is a secular homeschool course provider and as such all courses will be taught from a secular context. However, we welcome families from all backgrounds regardless of their beliefs.

Timeline

When families register online, they will receive an invoice through PayPal within 2 business days. Once a payment has been made, the student’s spot is guaranteed in the class. One week prior to the course start date, families will receive a link to the classroom.

Course Format

All Moth courses are discussion based and work best for students who enjoy being in a collaborative environment. We encourage the use of cameras throughout our class meetings, understanding that students may need to briefly step away at times.

Google Classroom

Our classes use Google Classroom to host course content. To access the materials, students will require a Google account. Parents can oversee the setup process. All classes are securely recorded so that students can review missed sessions. These recordings can only be accessed by the instructor and enrolled students.

Students with Disabilities

Moth Learning takes pride in its diverse team of educators, who bring a wide range of experience and skills, and some of whom understand disability on a personal level. We welcome students of all abilities, including those with learning and/or physical disabilities, and are committed to providing any accommodations they may require.

Refund Policy

We offer a full refund up to two weeks before the course start date (see “Important Dates” below). No refunds are available after this point.

Grading Policy

While individual assignments may be graded at the discretion of our instructors, parents are ultimately responsible for assigning their students with credit and a final grade for our courses. Feedback is available upon request.

Course Descriptions

As a homeschool high school counselor, Jill understands the importance of course descriptions. Moth instructors will provide families with a course description for every course, complete with materials used.

Book Clubs

Our courses cater primarily to homeschooled teens. However, our book clubs are open to all students. To include those who are not homeschooled, book clubs are scheduled for late afternoon or evening sessions.
